Eight years ago, Amanda Anderson brought a group of friends together to help a homeless man in High Point. That single act of kindness led to a non-profit organization that focuses on providing blankets for the homeless population in both shelters and for those that live out in the elements during winter months. With the mission to cover cities literally and physically with warmth and love, Cover the City Project is well on their way to doing just that. They have chapter locations in North Carolina, New York, and Ohio and have collected approximately 45,000 blankets since inception.
