Patio cushions endure a lot. They spend most of their time outside, taking a beating from the sun, rain, pollen, spilled drinks—whatever gets thrown their way. By the time the season wraps up, they’re usually looking pretty worn out, maybe even showing some mildew or mold from all the humidity. If you've ever spent an afternoon scrubbing them yourself, you know it’s not exactly the most exciting way to spend your time. That’s where we come in. At A Cleaner World, we’ve fine-tuned a process to get your outdoor cushions looking fresh again—without you having to lift a finger. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we tackle it.

Our Patio Cushion Cleaning Process

1. Pick-up or Drop-off: Contact us and schedule a time to have your cushions picked up, or drop them off at any of our convenient locations.
2. Stain Pretreatment: Cushions can pick up all sorts of grime and gunk over a season, so we start with a little TLC. Our team uses stain removers that are designed to target tough organic stains—things like mold, mildew, algae, dirt, and grime—giving your cushions a deep clean from the start.
3. Cleaning: You might imagine we’d pop out the pillow inserts for cleaning, but we actually leave them in. We give each cushion a thorough rinse, scrub, and rinse again—similar to what you’d do at home, but with some professional techniques to make sure every bit of dirt and residue is lifted away. 
4. Specialized Extraction and Controlled Drying: The drying step takes the longest, but we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve to speed things up. After a good rinse, each cushion goes through a high-powered extraction to remove most of the water. Then, we move them to a specially designed drying room. In this temperature-controlled space, they dry overnight, reducing the chance of any mildew or musty smells creeping in.
5. Sun & Stain Protection: Here’s the bonus step. Before we send your cushions back, we apply a protective coating that guards against sun damage and water exposure. This final treatment helps keep your cushions looking sharp longer, so they’re ready to handle the next season of sun, spills, and surprise thunderstorms.
6. Delivered Back: Once complete we will schedule a time to deliver your cushions back to you or notify you that they are ready for pick-up at our store. Generally, cushions can be returned to you within two weeks, and sometimes sooner.
