2025 GIVE A KID A COAT 38th CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY

The 2025 Give A Kid A Coat campaign kicked off on Friday, January 3, with live events at A Cleaner World locations in High Point and Winston-Salem. Joined by The Salvation Army, WGHP/Fox8, and WKZL/ROCK 92, the call was made for the community to donate new and gently used coats for families in need. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, approximately 1,500 coats were donated during the kickoff events.

“Give A Kid A Coat is exciting every year, but this year is even more special, as we approach the 1,000,000th coat donation milestone,” said Van Denton, WGHP/Fox8’s Chief Meteorologist. “Hopefully, with a big turnout, this is the year we get there!”

Brian Harrell, President of A Cleaner World, added, “The response we’ve seen, especially during this recent cold snap, is a reminder of how compassionate and giving our community is. To kick off the campaign with close to 1,500 coat donations, sets us on a strong path toward our 1,000,000th coat milestone. It’s heartwarming to see how much people care about helping those in need, especially during this frigid weather.”

This year’s campaign will run through Saturday, February 8, 2025. Coats collected will be cleaned, repaired as needed, and given to The Salvation Army for distribution to children and adults in need.

We are thrilled by the generosity we have already seen at the start of this campaign, and with your help, we can keep the momentum going! With more cold weather forecasted there is no better time to help us provide warmth and comfort to thousands of people in need this winter.

Residents wishing to participate can bring outgrown coats or those no longer being worn to any A Cleaner World location. Those wishing to make monetary donations for The Salvation Army to purchase coats can do so online here.
