Give A Kid A Coat Campaign Closing in on 1 Million Coats Milestone

JANUARY 21, 2025 - The 38th Annual Give A Kid A Coat campaign is well underway, and thanks to last week’s generous community support, donations saw a great rebound from the previous week. With cold weather gripping the area and temperatures expected to dip into the teens, the need for warm coats of all sizes remains high.

“We’ve already seen plenty of nights below freezing, but with temperatures expected to dip into the teens over the next few days, the time to donate gently used coats is now,” said Van Denton, Fox8 Chief Meteorologist.

Give A Kid A Coat is on track to make history this year. “We can now project that, with steady donations, we will reach the campaign’s 1 millionth coat milestone before the end of January,” said Brian Harrell, President of A Cleaner World. “Help us reach this milestone for our community – we’re nearly there! Stay tuned for updates.”

Donating is easy – simply drop off outgrown or unused coats at any A Cleaner World location. A Cleaner World will clean and repair all donated coats and give them to The Salvation Army for distribution to families in need.
