Give A Kid A Coat Concludes 39th Annual Campaign
February 12, 2026 – The 39th annual Give A Kid A Coat campaign officially concluded on Saturday, February 7, 2026 with more than 11,200 coats collected to help children and families in need across our community.
For nearly four decades, the campaign has provided warmth and hope to families throughout central North Carolina. This winter brought especially challenging weather conditions, making this year’s donations even more meaningful for neighbors facing cold temperatures.
“We are incredibly grateful to our community for stepping up once again,” said Chris Edwards, CEO of A Cleaner World. “Give A Kid A Coat is a powerful reminder of what can happen when neighbors come together with compassion and generosity. Every coat donated represents comfort and dignity for someone who might otherwise go without. We are honored to work alongside The Salvation Army, Fox 8, 1075KZL, and Rock 92 to help ensure families have the warmth they need.”
All donated coats are professionally cleaned and repaired as needed by A Cleaner World before being distributed free of charge by The Salvation Army.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to provide coats for children and their families this year especially as this winter weather has been so challenging to our neighbors in need of the warmth they provided. Thank you to the wonderful supporters that have made the gift of warmth possible this season!” said Major Charles Whiten of The Salvation Army.
“Because of all the folks involved, this year The Salvation Army will truly be able to say yes to everyone who needs a coat in our community, and yes is our favorite word,” added Major Roger Coulson of The Salvation Army.
While the collection process has concluded, The Salvation Army will continue distributing coats through local Family Stores and offices. Families in need can find distribution information by visiting: https://acleanerworld.com/about-cleaner-world/giving-back
A Cleaner World extends its deepest gratitude to every individual who donated a coat, as well as to the many local businesses, churches, organizations, and schools that hosted internal drives throughout the holiday season. Special thanks to our community partners - FOX8 WGHP, 1075KZL, Rock 92, The Salvation Army, Go Green Plumbing, and AAA Storage - for their continued support in making this year’s campaign a success.
