Give A Kid A Coat Concludes 2024 Campaign
Give A Kid A Coat wrapped up its 37th campaign Saturday, February 10th after receiving 16,187 coats for children and families in need. This year 7,544 coats were collected in Guilford County, Forsyth County collected 6,314, and Alamance County 1,326 coats. 993 coats were collected in areas outside the Piedmont Triad. Since its inception in 1987, 982,414 coats have been collected and cleaned for Give A Kid A Coat.
“We are so grateful to our partners and our team members for helping grow the campaign to what it’s become,” says Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “To everyone who donated a jacket, you have provided warmth to one of your neighbors in need.”
The collection process and much of the distribution schedule is complete, but the Salvation Army continues their work of distributing the coats at their Family Stores. Families in need of coats can contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
