Donate Goods Do Good
Thank you for your generosity. Give A Kid A Coat just wrapped up its 35th campaign by collecting, cleaning, and distributing 22,021 number coats to those in need. You are the reason this program is such a success; without your donations, there would be nothing for us to clean and nothing for The Salvation Army to distribute.
I would be amiss if I did not take this opportunity to mention something else, we partner with The Salvation Army on – and that is the Donate Goods Do Good project. Since 2009, A Cleaner World has been a drop off point for anyone that wants to donate their gently used clothes, toys, household items, and even furniture to The Salvation Army Family Thrift Stores.
On a side note, it is interesting to note where the Donate Goods Do Good name came from. Items that are donated to The Salvation Army Family Thrift Stores are sold to the community, many times at bargain prices, and the proceeds help support their programs like disaster relief, adult rehabilitation, youth camps, elderly services, and so on. While these services are dubbed as programs, the bottom line is that you’re helping people (doing good) – our neighbors in need. Who knew that simply cleaning out your closet and dropping off your no longer needed items at any Triad A Cleaner World location (donate goods) could make such an impact?!
Even though it is still cold out, spring is right around the corner. Now might be a good time to purge those items you no longer wear and drop them off at the nearest Triad A Cleaner World location. You’ll be getting a head start on your cleaning out your closet for spring and 100% of the proceeds from The Salvation Army Family Thrift Stores will go back into the community.
