Give A Kid A Coat Concludes 2022 Campaign
Give A Kid A Coat wrapped up its 35th campaign Saturday, February 12th after receiving 22,021 coats for families in need. This year 10,518 coats were collected in Guilford County; Forsyth County collected 8,234, and Alamance County 2,347 coats. Almost 1,000 coats were collected in areas outside the Piedmont Triad. Since its inception in 1987, over 946,500 coats have been collected and cleaned for Give A Kid A Coat.
“It’s encouraging to see our community step up to the plate in the last week of this year’s campaign,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World. “The Salvation Army, Fox8, 1075KZL, Rock92, AAA Self Storage, and all of the employees at A Cleaner World sincerely thank you for making this a win for the children of our area.”
The collection process and much of the distribution schedule is complete, but The Salvation Army continues their work of distributing the coats at their Family Stores. Families in need of coats can contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
