37th Annual Campaign Nears 7,000 Coats Donated
In the third week of the 37th annual Give A Kid A Coat Campaign, coat donations climbed to nearly 6,500 as distributions ramped up to get jackets into the hands of children and families. A total of 6,414 coats have been collected and cleaned by A Cleaner World since the January 5th kick-off. Winston-Salem and Kernersville locations have collected 2,395 coats, High Point with 1,640 coats, Greensboro with 1,638 coats, and Burlington has collected 340 coats so far. 401 coats have been collected from locations outside of the Piedmont Triad.
“We need to make a strong push the last two weeks of this year’s campaign to meet the needs of as many children as possible this year,” said Chris Edwards, President of A Cleaner World.
Those looking to support the Give A Kid A Coat campaign can simply drop off outgrown or unused coats at any A Cleaner World location. A Cleaner World will clean and repair all donated coats and give them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats should check with their local Salvation Army office for distribution information, or visit: https://acleanerworld.com/about-cleaner-world/giving-back
