36th Annual Campaign Nears 7,000 Coats Donated

January 25, 2023

In the third week of the 36th annual Give A Kid A Coat Campaign, coat donations climbed to nearly 7,000 as distributions ramped up to get jackets into the hands of children and families. A total of 6,976 coats have been collected and cleaned by A Cleaner World since the January 6th kick-off. Winston-Salem and Kernersville locations have collected 2,800 coats, High Point with 1,669 coats, Greensboro with 1,412 coats, and Burlington has collected 786 coats so far. Over 300 coats have been collected from locations outside of the Piedmont Triad.

Brian Harrell, VP of A Cleaner World, said, “Each week we are amazed to see the continued support of our community dedicated to providing warmth to those in need.”

Those looking to support the Give A Kid A Coat campaign can simply drop off outgrown or unused coats at any A Cleaner World location. A Cleaner World will clean and repair all donated coats and give them to The Salvation Army for distribution. Families in need of coats should check with their local Salvation Army office for distribution information, or visit here.

Give A Kid A Coat is sponsored by A Cleaner World, WGHP/Fox8, 1075KZL, WKRR Rock 92, and The Salvation Army.
