A Cleaner World Blog

Our mission is to provide you with the best convenience, customer service, and quality when it comes to your clothes, rugs, and linens, and nothing irks us more than telling you we cannot do something, especially when it comes to removing a stain. But there are times, especially if we don’t know the composition of the stain, the stain has sat too long, or the stain is on fragile fabric that we might not be able to remove it.

We love removing stains and making sure you look your best for every occasion, so we’ve complied a list of things you can do to stop your stain from setting.

  1. Never put items away with spills or stains on them. The warmth of the closet, exposure to natural or artificial light, and the atmosphere can cause a stain to get comfortable and begin to set.
  2. Bring your stained garment to any A Cleaner World location as soon as possible, preferably within a few days, to prevent it from setting.
  3. Never iron a stain or place a stained garment in the dryer. Ironing set stains can drive them deeper into the fabric. Heat from ironing or drying can cause some invisible stains like ginger ale oxidize and become noticeable. Once a stain sets, it is more difficult to remove.
  4. Never rub a stain, especially when trying to remove it; doing so can push it deeper into the fabric. Instead, blot the stained area to remove any excess.
  5. When dropping off garments with stains, let us know the location, the contents, and any attempts you’ve used to remove the stain, even if it is no longer visible.

Thanks for trusting A Cleaner World with your wardrobe. We appreciate the opportunity to make you and your clothes look and feel their very best.
