Give A Kid A Coat Concludes 2023 Campaign
Give A Kid A Coat wrapped up its 36th campaign Saturday, February 11th after receiving 18,726 coats for children and families in need. This year 6,765 coats were collected in Guilford County, Forsyth County collected 9,082, and Alamance County 2,236 coats. 643 coats were collected in areas outside the Piedmont Triad. Since its inception in 1987, over 966,000 coats have been collected and cleaned for Give A Kid A Coat.
“We are so grateful to our partners and our team members for helping grow the campaign to what it’s become,” says Brian Harrell, VP of A Cleaner World. “To everyone who donated a jacket, you have made a difference by providing warmth to someone in need.”
The collection process and much of the distribution schedule is complete, but the Salvation Army continues their work of distributing the coats at their Family Stores. Families in need of coats can contact their local Salvation Army office for distribution information.
